, whose chapbook Old Home won NAP's 2006 fall chapbook contest, was awarded the2006 Arts & Letters Rumi Prize. Her first book of poems, Granite Dives (New Issues Press, 2000), received North Carolina’s Roanoke Chowan Award. Her poems have appeared in journals from the Kenyon Review to Light Quarterly. A previous chapbook, Figments of the Firmament, was selected by Richard Jackson as winner of the 1998 Harperprints Chapbook Competition. Currently, she is studying and teaching at the University of Washington in Seattle.
